Figure Drawing: Mike

This week, I give you Mike, one of the more popular models at erotic figure drawing. With his boyish good lucks, friendly personality and mammoth sized penis, he always turns out a crowd. But it's usually a disgruntled bunch as Mike continually proves to be one of the hardest models to draw.

The reason for this is because no one is able to get a really good likeness of the guy. His eyes are super squinty, like he's permanently high; he shaves his head and has a prominent beard (of varying thickness in these drawings because they are from 2 different sittings.) On paper, all of these features make him look older than he is. So everyone is usually frustrated, me included, because none of our drawings resemble the cute, young, laid-back hipster in front of us.

Yea, it's a fat one. Like really girthy. And it looks more so because he's a short dude.

I really liked this pose below. It was super difficult for him though.

Both times I've drawn Mike, the director was very prop happy, bringing out everything but the kitchen sink for Mike to pose with. Yes these are footed pajamas.

I like the pose below a lot as well. This one really captures his stature, I think.

Don't ask me where our director got a wedding gown train. Fun to draw, but wtf?

And yea, no imagination on my part here. He sat on one dildo and sucked on another for 20 whole minutes. A real champ, this guy. ♥

Maggot's one of those characters who I thought had tremendous potential but since wrought with strange, ill-conceived writing and art, he ended up just as a odd blip in X-Men history.

The 90's gave us many strange, almost grotesque new mutant characters. It was a backlash from the Barbie and Ken mutants of old. Skin, Chamber, Penance, Husk, Marrow and Maggot all either had gross powers or an unusual appearance. I responded well to this change. It made sense to me that some "morlock" type characters could be introduced and not be considered villians.

So with Maggot, I definetely loved his crazy power; the fact that he commanded these two insatiable slug-like entities. But when they started talking about his digestive system and all that stupidness, it became too much. I didn't need to know all that.

His design was also all over the place. Is he big or is he little? Is he blue or is he brown? Why is he totally ripping off Guido's look? Well, above is my vision of how Maggot should have looked all the time. And don't forget to ROLL OVER him to see his long African uncut dark 'n' lovely penis.

Next up, the hot-headed Brazilian but Roman but British volcanic beauty, Amara AKA MAGMA! I honestly used to be somewhat indifferent to her until I played the revamped version of her in X-Men Legends. She was one of the more fun characters to play in that game. Admittedly, in my drawing, the powered-up version (ROLL OVER) is way more than I drew for any of the past X-Men I've drawn. But I really wanted to capture the experience of how awesome she was in that game. So yeah, I am quite proud of the piece.

Ah Rachel. I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with thee.

Dislikes: Her all-powerfullness. When she's portrayed all young and whiney.

Likes: Her kickass BDSM hound costume and the fierce buzzcut or mullet she rocks. When she's portrayed as a capable, take-action, "I'll do this myself, fuck all o' youze," BADASS!

Rachel always struck me as one of the butchest X-Men. Her clothes and attitude (half of the time) just screamed touch chick. The other half of the time (and I guess this is Claremont's and Davis' way of making her 3-dimensional) she acted like an annoying scared little girl. Like every time she whined about Jean not accepting her, I screamed into my comic like "Bitch, she ain't your mother! Get over it!" Or when she cried about Scott and Jean neglecting her for Nathan, I'd be all, "You ain't their kid, honey! You don't exist in their timeline! Get a grip and go screw Meggan, cuz you know you wanna!" hehe

I was always kind of apathetic towards Strong Guy. In fact, I even went through a phase of thinking the character's creation was offensive to Italian Americans because his name is Guido.

What made me begin to like this character was his writing under Peter David in the new Madrox and X-Factor books. Yea, I'll be the first to admit, new X-Factor is kind of slow and depressing. But I like the dialogue and character interactions; particularly between Guido and Madrox. They read like they've been best buds forever.

I had a lot of fun drawing Guido. Being that he's a humorous and stylized character, I felt like I could be a little more whimsical with the drawing. I'm surprised, however, at the lack of erotic Strong Guy fan art on the web. He seems like he'd be right up you guys' alley, particulatly you bear chasers. Even at the innocent age of 11, I could sense that Cable was a fan-service character. And I was totally aware that his presence very much changed the industry, spawning tons of copycat characters and themes. There was no shortage of huge, gun-toting, bad-asses in 90's comics.

So for a long time I really loathed Cable. He just felt overly important. I also didn't like that as his popularity grew, he got more and more... conventionally attractive. I really hate when this happens to a comic character. They are introduced with unique physical traits, but a soon as they get popular, they get an extreme makeover-- e.g. Cable's sudden luscious Backstreet Boy locks. I mean, This guy was supposed to be OLDER remember?! Nothing annoys me more than bald men who all of a sudden make up new hairlines for themselves. (cough cough Jeremy Piven)

So MY Cable is an homage to original Cable; the Cable I've learned to like. I'm talkin Liefeld Cable... with the receding hairline, strange body proportions, tiny feet, useless straps and belts and buckles and all. Naked hairy daddy version at Anti-Heroes.net > Members Gallery > FanBoy.

I really liked Random. I mean, really... liked Random. We're talking traced the panels, redrew him nude, and... liked... those drawings.

Sure, I recognized he was created to be the Wolverine/Cable of X-Factor, but I appreciated his design and personality a lot. And when his backstory (having the name "Marshall Evanstone III" and being revealed to actually be a formless insecure blob) came out, I fell more in love.

I fleshed out his backstory in my head. It begins with a skinny, nerdy, waspy, queer fledgling young mutant who is alienated by everyone in his life. Secretly, he hangs out/ works at a rough and tumble biker bar. He befriends a big rugged biker and maybe even shares a sordid but passionate fuck or two in the bathroom. Then Dark Beast gets ahold of the kid and performs some experiments. Evil Beast holds the big biker guy hostage and has little Marshall use his powers to perform various evil deeds. Finally when the kid decides he's had enough and tries to leave, Dark Beast offs the kid's biker lover. Then, partly as an homage to his lover, Marshall re-imagines himself as Random, this quintessential tough macho guy, who not-so coincidentally looks a lot like poor Marshall's former lover.

Chaos, Mayhem and Bedlam-- Those were the 3 codenames given to a very early incarnation of the Anti-Heroes. This was after they became men (yes, the Anti-Heroes were originally women) but before Marvel introduced Jesse Bedlam.

Why do I like Bedlam? Well, in addition to sharing my first name, at the time of his introduction, he completed the triumvirate of there being an African-American man on every generation of X-team. X-Men had Bishop, Gen X had Synch, and now New Mutants/ X-Force had Bedlam.

If you have no idea who I'm talking about, here's a quickie history. His real first appearance was in the Age of Apocalypse, a dystopian alternate reality where quite a few new memorable characters were created. Bedlam made his way to the main canon universe a few years later, around the time the original X-Force was failing. He lasted till that series' cancellation but was then killed a few years later in X-Men, along with many other characters by crucifixion on the lawn of the X-Mansion.

Needless to say, I was livid for years. But outta nowhere, Bedlam was inexplicably seen alive in a new book! I kinda don't need an explanation because his death was senseless in the first place. I kinda don't know too much or care about this guy. I know he banged Rahne and is now considered to be at the omega level as far as mutants go. But for the most part, he doesn't interest me. What's fun though is that he heals. This week's figure drawing session was a real treat. The few grainy photos I got in email didn't do the guy justice at all. So, I was more than pleased to find out this model was way hotter in person!

He plays in a gay football league and brought his uniform and let me tell you how crazy fun it was to draw!

Some artists were asking the director to not include the uniform after the first few times, but I loved it! It was great practice and it's not like I'm ever going to have the opportunity to draw this again.

He was a real nice guy and I actually ended up seeing him at Folsom yesterday, decked out in a hot leather harness. Maybe when he comes back to drawing, that's what he'll wear! Can't wait!

Hey gang! I wanted to blog real quick about some exciting new work coming out of Class Comics. All their books are of top-notch quality and feature some of the hottest writer / artist teams in erotic comics. But I wanted to mention 3 of the ones that I find especially titillating!

Sworn #1 isn't quite new from Class but I don't think I ever blogged about it. It's a sexy superhero romp and love story between this adorable twink called Calais and Slammer, a furry redhead badboy. My colorist on Anti-Heroes #3, Silvano is the the artist and the pictures are nothing short of fabulous. His style is reminiscent of the gorgeous animated shows of the 80's, with his crisp line and vibrant color choices. Throw a few furry cocks in to the mix, and you have a really enjoyable comic read / wank.

Next up is Felinoids #3. Patrick Fillion, founder of Class Comics is the writer / artist here and it seems he's really outdone himself. The Felinoids are a race of cat people with extremely high sex drives. Yeah, all of Patrick's characters are pretty sexual, but with the Felinoids, it's an important character point and part of their fictional history. And with this book, you can tell Patrick is really pushing this fact as the orgies are bigger and more detailed than ever. Practically every page is bodies upon bodies upon more bodies. You will be scanning these panels for hours finding all the sexy details Patrick crams in.

Finally, I'd like to mention Tug Harder #2. Butch McLogic is the writer/ artist on this series and I will admit here that am more jealous of his technical skills than ever! haha. He is absolutely amazing. I love that he celebrates various body types and men of different ages. And he renders each character as lovingly as the next. He's just a real unique talent that every gay art fan needs to see. The series is about a sexy reporter who goes undercover at a redneck fuck-farm but then they all get abducted by aliens. It's pretty imaginative and stupid hot.

I've made no secret of my lack of love for the Academy X characters.

There were just way too many of them and too many of them had redundant or unimaginative powers and looks. Also, I resented that they got the "full-fledged major player" treatment so early in their creation while Gen X got the shaft. So I never collected their "New X-Men" books simply because I didn't believe they deserved that monicker.

But as you can see, here I'm including Mercury, Hellion, and Pixie, prominent Academy X characters. Yes, I have had somewhat of a change of heart. I think Marvel's decision to either kill or all the worst ones was a bad idea. I try to emote along with the characters I read, so it just feels pretty horrible that nearly an entire cast was murdered due to what's seen as an editor's mistake. Yea, letting all those Academy X squads spring up like weeds was a mistake, but killing over half of them was a worse mistake.

So I am warming up to these guys because, as characters, they've been through a lot. No one deserves to have over half of your graduating class murdered. And indeed, some of the characters express this sentiment.

"All we seem to do well is die." I think Rockslide said that... Well not in my U, kids!

Hey so it's been a minute since you've seen one of these. So here ya go-- Another set of figure drawings from the Leslie-Lohman Foundation's Erotic Drawing Studio.

This week's model was named Doug. I admit to not being super attracted to Doug when I saw him. He was a good-looking man, but not quite my type.

So I was prepared for a kinda humdrum evening of drawing... that is, of course, until I saw his peepee.

It was one of those long snakey ones, very reminiscent of the kind Mike draws. Now, I'm a girth man, myself, so I admit to being more mystified and confused rather than turned on.

Then, weeks and weeks later, when I scanned all these for the blog, I looked at them in a whole different light. I've never been a Shatterstar fan. I didn't like his look; that doofy mask, the asymmetrical costume and that damned hair! A ponytail I understand... but a ponytail AND pigtails!? Overkill. I also didn't care for his personality. He felt flat and boring and his background felt ripped off of Longshot, another character I never loved.

As a matter of fact, even his gay love storyline with Rictor wasn't enough to conjure up some iota of caring for me. But I told myself, "Well I'm definitely drawing Rictor... and these two are Marvel's hottest gay couple right now. Gay comic boys are going to want both." So, I kinda HAD to draw Shatterstar.

And guess what? Now, I think I like him! I guess I had to see him under my pen. And of course, drawing his cock (on Anti-Heroes.net> Members Gallery > Fan-Boy) also helped. So is it arrogance that the only instance of Shatterstar I care for is my own?

I really liked all the characters in Generation X. I really appreciated the thought and effort that went into these guys' powers, looks and backstories. Alas, the series petered off into wackness like most x-books in the 90's, but that doesn't change the pure strength of those character designs. Each one just seemed so much more depthy than... say... any of the Academy X kids (blegh.)

Here's the hilarious thing though. When you Google Image Search "Synch Generation X," SOOO many porn art pics of the kids in orgies come up. Pretty awesome, huh?

So I'm working on this drawing at work, which is really bad but fuck it, and the straight guy in the next cubicle goes:

Haha-- I had to share that exchange with you guys. I always pictured Boom Boom as very sexy and thought it'd be appropriate to give her double D's.

For my Tabitha design, I called on a bit of her original look with a dash of her 90's look, with a pinch of Pris from Bladerunner mixed with Anime-Madonna in the opening sequence of Who's That Girl.

Personality wise, she always reminded me of my high school barber's girlfriend D'Neil, who was the most delicious trailer parkiest diva ever. This one's for you D'Neil, wherever you are. Hopefully it's not obese and bed ridden surrounded by 8 kids in your mobile home. (I'm goin' to hell.)

Every time I look at my old fanart, the pieces I love the most are everything from my X-Men Remix collection. It combines my 2 main loves: X-Men and character design/redesign.

You Want Bulgy Buds!

Behold my latest perversion. Well, not quite my latest per se. I've been drawing these since I was 8. But when I told my friend and fellow illustrator, Julain Lytle about them, he clued me in on something that hadn't quite entered my head-- that these guys were pretty marketable. Specifically he said that girls who go to comic cons would love them. Now, since I kinda "don't do" comic cons, I thought, how could I translate these for the cons I DO participate in (gay erotica cons?) Thus, Bulgy Buds were born.

These guys are actually made from Shrinky Dinks if you can believe it! Kudos to you if you remember what Shrinky Dinks are. If you don't suffice to say I had tons of fun making them.

And they seemed to be a big hit at the Black Party Expo, which I just participated in yesterday. I agonized over whether to do only my characters or versions of better known ones. I ended up doing both, and as it turned out, both sold equally!

In Erotic Figure Drawing this week, the 2 models were both guys I'd drawn previously. One is a cute little pocket-gay and the other is a tall hulking mastodon of hairy beef. I figured I'd better make this class because these guys together will make for some interesting drawings! Upon telling my friends the news, they all suggested I turn the drawings into famous "daddy/boy" "big guy/little guy" pairings. And so here you have... Cap and Bucky!

For this pose, both the little guy and big guy sat on chairs covered in cloth. Little guy tweaked big guy's nipple while big guy (who was super oral) tongued little guy's neck and face. At first, I was bummed that from my angle, I couldn't see little guy's cock. But midway through the pose, big guy's cock started standing up at attention, entrancing all of us that had such a pleasant view.

Happy Birthday 2 Me

So I just turned 30 and am still kinda... dealin' with that. But what's helped is some of the awesome guest art I've gotten lately! It's kinda starting to accumulate, so I thought I'd go on and share it all with youze.

First up is my good buddy Anthony Gonzales. He never fails to surprise me with his creativity and ingenuity. For my compleanos, he did this awesome drawing of the hot, hung, horny, hard-bodied Anti-Heroes and somehow turned the original into a jigsaw puzzle! Let me just tell you, this was BY FAR the funnest puzzle I've ever done. I keep taking it apart and putting it back together again!

Here's another Anti-Heroes piece Anth did for me. Anthony always poses my characters in such a way that is very evocative of their personalities. More so than anyone who draws these guys (including me,) Anthony really emphasizes their differences in their stances. I love it! I only have a cellphone photo of this one so far. Working on getting the original! (wink wink)

And finally, here's one Anth did a little while back featuring the ladies of my super-mutant team, the Bomb Squad (featured in Anti-Heroes #3.) I am supposed to be digitally coloring this one... but time and laziness are getting in the way of that task. Still, the inks and line-art really hold up, as they always do with Antony's stuff. Thanks a million, buddy!

Next up, my other good pal, Jezza does the Anti-Heroes in his own vibrant style. I love how even though Jezza's style is on the cartoony side, he manages to cram all this subtle detail into his work. For instance, all 3 Anti-Heroes have different faces. I really appreciate the weapon design on Caleb. And is it just me, or do Jezza's pieces always draw your eye in directly to the cocks? What is it-- the placement? Whatever it is, nice job, as always bro! Jezza also recently interviewed me over at his blog so I suggest you dudes read that to find out how perv-minded I really am.

This next one is by Shawnti Therrien, an artist I met at a con a few moths ago. I was scouting artists to commission to draw the Anti-Heroes, but was embarrassed to ask any straight guys. Luckily, I spotted her booth adorned with posters of scantily clad male characters. I immediately thought, "Oh fuk yes, this person isn't going to have a problem drawing sexiness!" Shawnti was a pleasure to meet and I love her rendition of Tai. This pencil rendering is something I really appreciate, being that I have absolutely no patience for it, myself. LOL

Last but not least is an action-packed painting of Caleb by Bordin Marsinkul. Another artist I met at the con, Bordin was actually sketching at a booth where they were selling markers. His wonderfully gritty Street Fighter pieces were up, so that's what got me to stop but then I actually saw him work... which was incred. He needed tons of space and went at the paper like a martial artist would a punching bag. He was very animated, which seems to really show through in his work. I love the exuberance and excitement that goes into this piece.

I've got a big chunk of figure drawing for you dudes today featuring Eric, or as most of us know, Victor Steele, porn actor extraordinaire. Each of these are done with graphite and water soluble oil pastels. The pastel goes on the watercolor paper like crayon, but if you add a wet brush to that, you can get something that looks a little like watercolor.

Why are there so many of these up? Well, this is what I've amassed from three seperate non-consecutive figure drawing sessions with Victor. Over the months, I drew many other models in between the 3X I drew Victor. But I thought, since I've compiled so many of these pieces featuring the same model, I might as well post them all together. As I am a slut and usually don't like to draw the same model more than once, the fact that I've drawn Victor Steele 3X is pretty unusual for me. I think this is because I really enjoy drawing him. I've come up with a caricature that I think works.

He's so fun to draw because his body is somewhat deceptive. He's got the muscle tone of a virile, strapping young man but at the same time, he is also quite slender and dare I say, even graceful! He does not have that default super-hero bod I always draw. He's got an elegant swan-like neck and gorgeously toned, lithe body.

And of course it doesn't hurt that he has a big dick, as well!

I know no man likes to be called elegant or graceful, and I wish there more manly words to describe what I meant. Rest assured, Victor Steele seems really masculine. He is a former Marine and served for a pretty long time. I can't remember exactly how many years he said but it was enough to make me be like "wow."

Once he said that, his perfect posture made so much more sense. People who've served in the U.S. military always have amazing posture. For the pose above, he stood at attention for 20 minutes.

Also, he actually posed a few times in his official Marine Corps uniform! We were all dumbfounded and drooling. Later on, I asked him, "Um... is that even legal... posing in your uniform?" He replied in the most serious tone ever, "Why wouldn't it be? It's my uniform." I love that answer.

I think he lives in my hood as I see him all the time at my local bar. I've also seen him gogo-ing at the Cock. I was caught staring, so I went over and spoke to him. I said, "You are really hot but every time I see you, all I can see is my crayon cartoon version of you." He laughed.

Never fails, every time I receive the erotic figure drawing workshop model's picture in e-mail, my pre-conceived notion of what he's going to be like always totally wrong.

So I get the pic of Cesar, a handsome young shorty playfully showing off his abs with a backwards cap, strategically tweezed eyebrows and a cocky grin on his face. Naturally, I assume he's going to be this confident, showy stud on the model stand. Nope.

This kid was so nervous, he looked like he wanted to be put out of his misery every moment he was up there. What made it worse for him was that he (like all our models) had taken a little blue happy pill before the session and was throbbing hard the entire time.

As the night went on, his cock got harder and harder but he got more and more freaked out. It's a shame because the kid was very attractive. Come to find out he was a dancer, so that's where all the tight muscle came from. Boytoon Adventures is 92 pages of your favorite Class Comics heroes drawn in a new sexy streamlined cartoony style by Bryce Peters! For those who don't know, Bryce Peters is Patrick Fillion's pen name for this new style of illustration.

I'm really glad Class has put out this book. I like that even an artist of Patrick Fillion's caliber recognizes the importance of diversity of illustration styles. Growing up I was always told that cartoons weren't "real art" and sometimes you can't help but let that criticism sink in. So it's great that such a book like this exists because Patrick, being one of my idols, has pretty much validated the merits of cartooning in erotic art!

Divided into 6 chapters, there's something here for any fan of gay art. Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Superheroes, it's all here... covered in creamy white goo. My personal favorite story is The Ruse, starring Camili-Cat. Cam is Patrick's #1 character, you can tell by the way he's drawn-- but in THIS book, Cam is rendered in the Bryce Peters style and I dare say this may be my favorite version of Cam to date. I think it's because I like my anthro characters to be super cartoony. But whatever the reason, these 16 pages of Camili-Cat art is IMHO the hottest we've ever seen! The book also features Zahn, Ghostboy, Diablo, Locus, Mako Finn, and some of the men from The Initiation, making it kindof a Class Comics All-Star lineup.

So this week in figure drawing, I was kind of distracted (yes, I'm so de-sensitized to porn that two hot guys can be sucking each other's cocks right in front of me and I can get distracted.) So I drew the models as Toads! Anthony was all worried that I would get kicked out for not taking the class seriously. Haha. What he doesn't know is that I take Toad very seriously!

The models were very hot. Blue Toad in each of the poses is Doug Repetti, a hunky gay man about town who's solid muscular body and ample genitals were a pleasure to draw. The other Toads are Adam, a model I've drawn so many times before that I decided to give him a different body type in every pose to keep it interesting to me. But the result makes Mr. Blue Toad look like the slut of he century! hehe!

Above is an experiment using this crazy paper Anthony had. It's black wax or something, and then you scratch it away to reveal a multicolored pattern underneath. It was difficult to scratch if you don't have the right tool. Also, there's no erasing. But it made for a cute, fun drawing.

My Twitter followers know that a few weeks ago, I was home alone a lot and since I have no cable at the moment, I decided to watch all of my Super Mario animated series DVDs. I LOVED that cartoon as a kid and all my memories of why I liked Toad the most came flooding back. He as so awse. Here's a screenshot from the episode that spoofed Mad Max where he became the TOAD WARRIOR. Get it? SO CUTE!

Toad was such a huge part of the toon but whenever that little bitch Yoshi came along, they unapologetically omitted Toad. That began my hatred for that bastard dinosaur. Every week, the erotic drawing workshop directors send out an email with the upcoming model's pic. We artists reply to this email as an RSVP of our attendance, just to give them an idea of how many people plan to show up. But when it was announced that porn star, Chad Hunt would be modeling, for the first time, the session actually filled up! Within a few hours after the email went out, the workshop was booked solid!

Chad Hunt is a porn actor who's known for having one of the most enormous penises ever. It's even more impressive in person, easily as thick around as my wrist and probably over a foot long.

However, Chad's unit did present a few problems when it came to drawing him. It seems to require a lot of work to keep that monster hard and thusly, Chad was wildly pulling on it for most of the poses. A little masturbating during the pose is no big deal, particularly if the model can do it subtly and not break the pose. But because Chad's dick is so big, the amount his arm moves to jerk it off totally changes the pose.

A few of us wanted to let him know somehow that keeping hard isn't as important as keeping still. But at the same time, there were people there who wanted him to be constantly playing with it. The emphasis on their pieces was more about the eroticism of the moment rather than the accuracy of the pose. It's a tough balance to keep in this type of drawing. In my family, everyone older than me is a true card shark. So I grew up constantly losing in Spades, Spit and Poker. But it made me into the card freak I am today. I've collected sets of playing cards for as long as I can remember.

I've also always been into making my own decks. In 6th grade I made this kickass Tiny Toons set. And in high school I did an X-Men set in the style of 8-bit Mega Man. But these were always just drawings on bristol. I've never gotten a set of cards with my drawings professionally printed up... UNTIL NOW!

Fellow gay erotica artist / Twitter pal FMX tweeted that he wanted to draw something but wanted suggestions. I jokingly said "do the Anti-Heroes" (seconded by Adam G) and low and behold, he actually did it!

It has all the characteristics of his men that I love: the chiseled body, the crisp lines, the attention to detail, and those beautiful not-quite anime, but non-quite western eyes! The perfect FMX piece.

But what I heart the most about it is that he really nailed Zeke's personality. All too often, most Zeke fan-art is a little effeminate. My fellow artists tend to draw him in a woman's pose-- never as threatening or masculine as the other 2 Anti-Heroes. Granted, I know Zeke's personality is a little diva-ish... and he does kinda have a chick power (telepathy)... and he does wear all that jewelry-- so I see why people WANT to draw him femmy. But it was always my intention to portray him very masc but still very pretty.

I see the pose as imposing and masculine. This is why I thought he'd be a great artist to depict Zeke. I based him on character designs by Hirohiko Araki. He draws very pretty, yet tough-looking men. I see a lot of his style in FMX's work-- sexy masculine, virile men-- but rendered with the softness and beauty of a dazzling anime heroine.

So a few days ago, I was delighted to discover this piece in my updates on DeviantArt. One of my favorite artists, Drachea Rannak, did a fan-art of Marq, the main character of my series, Persuasions!

His version of my platinum blonde studly schoolteacher is one of the hottest I've ever seen. Drachea Rannak has an anime/manga influenced style but blends a lot of western sensibilities in his drawing. The coloring on his work is always very bright and vibrant so that it feels almost like a still from a high-budget animation. But, perhaps my favorite part of this piece is the body hair rendering. I don't know how he did it, but each hair looks totally real and totally lickable!

Here is an illustration I did for Unzipped Magazine to go with a small article on Grindr, an iPhone app that is essentially another hook-up aid for the queers.

I'm not endorsing this app here because I don't want to give Grindr free advertising. In fact, Grindr officially wouldn't allow this image in advertising because Apple doesn't allow adult-content apps. Posing this week at the erotic figure drawing workshop was Rafael and his friend Mike W. I knew Rafael from previous sessions because he is an artist. However, soon after meeting him, something told me with that bod he'd be modeling eventually. His friend was REALLY into him, sucking his face & squeezing his ass almost the entire time. But because the friend's face was so hidden from view, I hardly ever got a chance to draw it. I absolutely NEED to draw the face a few times in order to nail the likeness of the model. So this, combined with the fact that drawing 2 models in 15 minute poses is just not enough time for me to accurately caricature both their faces, made me decide to turn these guys into some fictional characters. Namely: my version of Axel & Adam from Streets of Rage!

We wanted to do an art trade some time ago and I had almost forgotten he was working on this! I'm so pleased he did it because I really admire his style. I love that he loves muscles, and I love that he loves nipples, and I love that he isn't afraid of drawing a big fat penis!

This piece is very indicative of Sarumaru's style: strong & masculine but with this inherent cuddly softness. And I just looove his boots! (might have to borrow that design for a future issue ;) )

As usual, got the guy's pic in e-mail, wasn't too impressed, but am totally confident that he'll be way cuter in person. BOY WAS I RIGHT! So, I'm there, all set to draw, Roberto comes in, and though he has the most insane Blanka-like hairdo ever, I am, of course, immediately drawn to the huge bulge in his yellow sweatpants. Now, here's my thought process: this could either be a) fashiony push-up underwear you buy from International Male, b) his actual huge dick, or c) his huge nads pushing his average-sized dick outward, creating the bulge. It was C.

Remember Supreme Dominion? My would-be fighting game? Well, I've decided to migrate the whole of the series over to my pornographic site. Why I Heart Jean

Yunno for years, Jean Grey was my absolute least favorite X-Men character. I didn't like how in Uncanny #290 (I was 12,) Jean told Forge that Storm didn't love him. I was pissed at Jean because she's supposed to be Storm's friend and yet ruined Storm's chance at happiness with Forge. I now see that Jean helped Storm dodge a major bullet with the Forge proposal thing, cuz that fucker is a total loon with a wack power.

Yeah, I harbored that grudge against little miss perfect Jean for a long time. There was also the Psylocke / Cyclops thing in the 90's. I was rooting for Psylocke because she's a ninja and ninjas are frikkin' cool to an adolescent-- not to mention the fact that Psylocke was a super sexy, super snarky, bad-ass diva. In the end, Jean won her man back, as well she should have, because Cyclops and Jean Grey are the backbone of the X-Universe.

I've come to especially appreciate Jean now that she's dead and they have Emma taking her place as X-Mother. I like Emma and all, but it's gone on for too long now and it's gotten to the point where Emma is hardy Emma in most of the books she's in. She's more Jean-ish than ever.

Jean is an important character, even without all the Phoenix bull. (Sorry, I'm sick of that storyline. It was great in the 70's, so let's put it to rest.) Jean's important because she's the first lady of the X-Men. She's the one all the boys loved. She's the one that kept them all around. And for decades, the bond between Cyclops and Jean Grey was the driving force behind so much X-Continuity, it made you really believe this was the couple that as meant to be.

I mean, I know Jean will be back-- she's one of the sacred women of Marvel (along with Invisible Girl and Scarlet Witch.) But I know they'll put her with Logan because that's what these punk new readers want.

Today for my figure drawing treat, I'm giving you Jonny, a sexy, buff, uncut, Latin man I had the pleasure of sketching.

Jonny is a tall, hunky stripper with beautiful lips, nice meaty tits, and a big floppy piece of manflesh between his legs. He also has these gorgeous devilish eyes that make him do that sexy look Tyra is always demonstrating for the girls on Top Model-- haha.

I wanted to work largescale this session so I brought some bignormous paper. But it's just not in my nature to draw so huge. So instead, I incorporated more than one pose onto a page. It ended up being 3 poses for 3 pages and made for a really interesting collagey sortof look.

Then, to culminate this idea, I put all 3 drawings together using Photoshop to create one huge overlapping layout of smooth beefy sexiness. And by the by, you're getting the ENTIRETY of the Jonny set here on the blog. No half here, half somewhere else. :D

Hells Yes Baby! More FanArt!

You kids have been busy, haven't you? *he says perched at his desk, hands folded like Mr. Burns. This weekend I've gotten a ball-load of great new fan-art!

These 1st 3 gems are by comic artist extraordinaire, Silvano. I communicate with Silvano on and off as he was the colorist on Anti-Heroes #3. He's a real amazing talent and I've always been in awe of his work. He's got this amazing color sense that gives his characters this really animated look. Don't they feel as if they're going to jump right off the page?!

Perhaps, what I love most about these pieces is that Silvano, being so familiar with the Anti-Heroes, designed his renditions EXACTLY like me! He omits nothing-- it's all there, from Tai's lip piercing to Caleb's combat boots!

Please check out more of Silvano's phenomenal work in the upcoming book called "Sworn" published by Class Comics. It looks pretty steamy!

Next up, is a graphic graphite rendering of our favorite trio by artist Bulldogg Bronx. I appreciate his soft rendering and the utter raunchiness of the pose! Favorite aspect: Tai's eyes!

Finally, here's something I've always wanted someone to do: a CG rendering of my characters! My partner is a CG artist ad he was working on it a while back-- but abandoned it much to my dismay. However, I knew it was only a matter of time before someone sent me one. There are a lot of gay erotica artists working in Poser, and Thomas gives his own spin on my boys using this program. Favorite part of this one: Zeke's eyes. They're like... pools!

Anti-Heroes Join the Big Boys

While going through RSS feeds just now, mindlessly marking all the Roids and Rants & Shirtless Superheroes updates as "read," (honestly those dudes update like 12 times a day! hehe) I came across a brilliant shining surprise. My good buddy Chubtoons who runs the blog Big Boy Toons did a spectacular fan-art of the Anti-Heroes!

I am in love with his technique in general. He always has these sharp, crisp lines in everything he does. So much detail and carefulness goes into his inking that I always enjoy seeing a no-color inked version of his pieces.

Each Anti-Hero has Chubtoons' signature stylization yet seems maintain the personality I gave them. It's such a treat when I get these unsolicited because 1) I LOVE it and 2) I'm super embarrassed and shy about asking my favorite artists to do them. It's like-- well, if they don't know my characters, why would they want to draw them?

So yeah, it's super flattering that Chubtoons did this and I hope he knows I appreciate it very very much! Thanks again, Jason!

I've been doing a lot of X-Villians lately and decided to do Cain one day while watching Clean House. Beforehand I had no idea one of my crushes, Matt Iseman was on that show. I'd seen him before on the Sports Soup and was glad to find out he was on Clean House because my ol' man won't let me watch Sports Soup. Isn't he just too cute?! And doesn't he look just like Juggernaut?! (Well, maybe not so much in these pics.) You have to see him on video. Google him and watch something he's in. An hour before my drawing sessions at Leslie-Lohman I am always scrambling to find something to draw with at my day job. We have a bit of an art studio there so sometimes I find something if use. This time, I scavenged some charcoal sticks and some thick corrugated cardboard which I got an intern to cut into 8x10 sheets for me. Normally I don't abuse interns, but he eagerly volunteered when he found out what it was for.

The model this week was Damian, a beautiful blonde whom our director was calling "our Nordic prince." Damian was very tall with wild, impossible, anime hair and big adorable protruding ears. All the traits made for easy caricature, but he also had this wide-eyed expression and angelic long blonde eyelashes which I struggled with. I don't know why but while I was doing it, I wasn't happy with the way I rendered his eyes. Only weeks later, after looking at the drawings next to actual photos of him did I appreciate them. I think, in the class, it felt too cartoony-- big eyes and long eyelashes have tendency to come off cartoony even though I was totally drawing what was right in front of me.

Hey, wouldn't this guy make a great Angel / Archangel? Maybe when I redo one of these pieces, I'll give him wings...

I am working on presenting my work as a whole to different organizations. What word or theme do you think most describes my body of work? I've been told everything from "Naughty Disney" to "Raunchy Capcom." But I want a description that doesn't reference some other company.

I use "Anti-Heroes" to describe not only my primary crop of characters but also as a description for ALL of them and for my work in general. They're all a bit naughty, a bit snarky, and kinda contrast with what we all generally think a superhero should do... But I have trouble finding the right words to describe this notion. What am I forgetting? Wordsmiths unite! PLEASE!

Mortimer Toynbee-- or Toad, as most of us know him, was never one of my favorite villains in the X-Men universe. Nevertheless, I've decided to draw a cute fan-art of him because he's an X-Men staple, and when written / drawn well, he can be a pretty cool addition to the wide wonderful super mutant world. There's a gooey nudie version on my site Anti-Heroes.net in the Fan-Boy section. Here's the thumbnail!

The thing about him is, I like different aspects of him from different X-Men media. Like, I like the retooling of his powers in X-Men the first motion picture, his look and personality in X-Men Evolution, and his voice actor in Pryde of the X-Men. The fact that so many different perfectly valid instances of this one character exist got me to thinking about one of my main gripes with the franchise in general.

My problem is and has always been the inconsistency with different instances of the same character. I used to go on these huge rants about how goth Rogue in X-Men Evolution is wrong, or how non-speaking Storn in Wolverine and the X-Men is wrong, or how broken-english, slow-acting Colossus in every media that's not the comics is wrong.

I've now come to finally realize that depending on the interpreter, the characters in the series can be written and drawn ANY FRIKKIN' WAY THEY WANT. Nowadays there is no one correct way to interpret X-Men. They can be as far away from their original iteration as possible and it's PERFECTLY OKAY.

Wolverine can be the level-headed leader. Cyclops can be the loose cannon. Emma can be the mom. Storm can... not exist. You can't get mad anymore-- the characters are more like... guidelines. You can't say "Oh, Nightcrawler would never do that."

I know this may seem kinda obvious to some of you but I was kinda hung-up on what I saw as bad interpretations of my favorite comic series-- even modern issues of the comic series itself. Am I over it? Nah-- but I think I much better understand why it's happened now. And to cope, I'll just continue to draw them all gay with drippy dicks.

Figure Drawing: A New Duo!

For this week's figure drawing session, there was another pair of guys. One was James, whom I've drawn before, and the other was a new guy, also named James. When drawing two guys, though, it's difficult to get a good facial likeness along with both whole figures. So, for this session, I drew the bodies and left the faces blank, to complete at a later time.

So then, after having the drawings for a little while, I ran through the list of likely muscley couples to turn these into. All-American and Golden Boy didn't enter my mind for a while because it's been so long since I've drawn them. But once I started the process, it seemed so perfect and natural that these drawings become this sexy duo!

Because, of course, since I don't already have enough characters (heh heh) here's some new ones for ya!

I could never really put into words how I felt about furry. 8 or so years ago, I guess it kinda turned me off... but I couldn't help but marvel at the work of some of the furry artists. Slowly but surely, some furry pieces here and there would cause a bit of a stir in my pants. And now, in my perverted old age (22-- heh heh!) I'm completely into it!

So yes, Layup is a series of sexy anthro men who play in a sexy anthro b-ball league! Tangle is the first one I drew. It was a little tricky drawing a bunny who's not Buster or Babs, but hopefully I succeeded in making him look different than them. Next up was SilverMoon. I knew I wanted to tackle a wolf early on because they're a mainstay of all great furry artists. And lastly came Ridge, the boar, simply because I wanted to do a species that I don't really see that often. Of the 3, I'm leaning toward Ridge as my fave. Don't forget to rollover each char for the stiff dong version. Special thanks to KittMouri for the names.

There will be more Layup boys, for sure, but I'll introduce them intermittently. So don't worry, I've not become a furries-only artist. Just wanted to show you guys just how wild I can get. :P

Bloodlust

This piece was completed in part due to the user VicCreed on DeviantArt. After coming across this piece, I was taken not only by the drawing itself, but by the artist's immense adoration for Sabretooth. VicCreed's drawing shows that he thinks Sabretooth is hot for the same reasons I do-- the stature, the fuzziness, the attitude... mmmm.

So, thoroughly reminded how much I want to bone Sabretooth, I took to this new drawing. Yunno, five years ago, if you asked me if I thought someone who looks like Victor Creed is hot, I would have been like, "oh god, he's an aryan, dirty, sweaty, hairy, psychopath who looks like he has insane B.O." Who would've guessed nowadays that phrase alone would be enough to give me an erection?

The Return to Traditional Media

To be honest, back when I regularly used colored pencil and markers, (some 8 years ago,) I really envied people who could color digitally. Now, digital coloring is pretty much all I do. Recently however, I've been offered the chance to participate in a group art show, where originals will be sold at a set price. Being that most of my work is digital, I kinda don't have originals. I keep the files and just print them out whenever I want to show them or sell them as prints. So how was I going to get myself some originals...?

Anthony Gonzales put me up to the challenge. He basically said that I've been using the computer too much and that it'll be good to show that I still CAN work in traditional media. So I dusted off the ol' colored pencils and markers, got a pad of brown paper (because stuff just looks so much more arty and bohemian on brown paper,) and got to work!

Basically I just reworked some of my sketches from the figure drawing workshop I go to. Right now though, I feel like I am at a crossroads with where to go with my art. I really like what I've done with the colored pencil and marker here, and I definitely want to keep exploring this style of color. But I also want to get much better at digital coloring. I've even been thinking of taking a class (I'm looking into this online course by this amazing dude I see at comicon.)

So I don't know what the future really holds for this stuff. I want to say that I'll continue to explore different types of media and have a wide variety of different styles for you guys. But who knows-- maybe I'm just hitting the tip of the iceberg and 2 years from now you'll be seeing nothing but giant oil paintings on this site.... HAHA (yeah that'll happen -_-)

Street Fighter 4 Review

Street Fighter IV came out a few weeks ago, and like any die hard Street Fighter fan, I had the deluxe edition on pre-order and have been devoting as much time as I can to intense study of the game.

The Good:
It's a new Street Fighter!

The Bad:
The roster is too small and the characters' move lists have been greatly reduced. Both of these were conscious decisions by Capcom to make this game more like Street Fighter 2. They are trying to recapture the Street Fighter 2 fanbase and ignoring fans of the Street Fighter Alpha or Street Fighter 3 series'.

The Ugly:
As a big fan of 2D art forms, I always had my qualms about the main Street Fighter canon going 3D. Indeed, a valiant effort was made to preserve the art style of the older Street Fighter games... but it wasn't enough for me. The 3D character models are clunky and awkward. Admittedly, some of the 3D models are much better than others. Ryu and Ken (of course) look amazing. But there's something kinda... doofy about everyone else. Whether its the animation or the model itself, none of them have the grace and elegance of the 2D Street Fighter sprites.

For me, there is a huge disconnect between the beautiful calligraphy inspired promotional art, the clumsy in-game 3D models, and the traditionally animated "Pokemon-esque" story elements in the game.

Obviously an effort was made to link the calligraphic promo art style to the 3D models because here and there the 3D models get what looks akin to a black brushstroke ink outline. But the brushstroke effect is too little and happens too rarely in the game to match the beautiful promo art.

And then there are these weird cartoon cut scenes that look as far away from the promo art and 3D models as you can possibly get. The animation is limited and character design is over-simplified and completely off-model. It literally looks like Pokemon to me. These little mini-toons are supposed to tie-in to the Street Fighter 4 animated movie, done in the same style. Personally, I think they should've kept these cut scenes out of the game. It gets too mis-matched.

In previous Street Fighter games, the promo art, gameplay art, and story art all looked like they were done by the same hand. That brought a sense of cohesiveness and gave those games a tight, complete feel.

In conclusion, yah I'm playing it like crazy because it's a new Street Fighter. But I'm constantly wishing I had more characters and more moves. It pains me to look at a lot of it. I skip the story scenes. Whenever I have to fight Dhalsim, I try to beat him as quickly as possible because I hate that 3D model. What's wrong with him? Is the head too big or something? He looks like a baby. None of the new characters impress me that much. El Fuerte is welcome, I guess, but kinda... expected. C.Viper I find boring. I mean, come on, ANOTHER female agent character? Rufus is stupid and a little offensive. Everytime I have to fight him, I get sad that so much effort was put into him while E.Honda, the original fat guy of the series has been totally ignored.

Abel is cute... sometimes, but again, somewhat yawn inspiring. His outfit is lame, he's got redundant moves, and his personality puts me to sleep. It's a good thing he has that alternate singlet outfit or else he would have never made it to my sketchpad! hehe! Enjoy this drawing and the raunchy NUDE, ERECT rollover version. (Oh, and sorry Doug. This week, I give you more of super sexy Adam. This is the 2nd time I've gotten to draw this stud at the erotic drawing workshop I go to. To remind yourself of this guy, go to my first blogpost about him.

For my 2nd go at Adam, I tried to take a little more time and get a little more artistic and experimental than jut my usual graphite pencil on white paper. So these are graphite pencil, white colored pencil for highlight and a little black ink on orange and red construction paper.

You'd think that what turns me on about this guy are his big beautiful smokey brown eyes... or his soft, supple, toned muscular bod... or his cute little perky bubble butt... or his mouth-watering fat curvy tool... but no, it's none of those things. It's the nose! I am in love with this man's nose! It's just so... distinctive and pronounced-- but not huge and ugly. It's in perfect proportion-- but still a strong and proud nose! Is this weird? Probably-- I just called someone's nose strong and proud...

Black History Month: Caleb

So I couldn't do so much yammering about black fictional characters in celebration of Black History Month without including my own: Caleb.

My experience in the U.S. wherein blacks are a minority, has caused me to feel a responsibility to include at least one major black character in every set of illustrations / characters I create. Some might call this tokenism, but I don't think that necessarily has to have negative connotation. Growing up, I was always more apt to consume media that included your "token" black character. I saw these media as integrated, which was important to me.

Tokenism is bad when the black character is a stereotype or when OTHER token traits are applied to him. Like when the token black character is also the token nerd... or token fatty... or token midget... or token foreigner... or token indeterminate race character. Instances like that single the character out, which is counter-productive to the idea of their inclusion in the first place.

Rant, rant, preach, preach, I know, I'm sorry. But I swear, if I see another show where the black one is a wimpy awkward skinny ugly geek with big-ass glasses, I'm going to stab myself.

Anyway, enjoy this latest drawing of Caleb, the black Anti-Hero. I hope what I've done with this guy is create a character who is defined by more than his skin color. He's the brain and the leader, which for me naturally progressed to become this sort-of bossy megalomaniacal mercenary. He's also very handsome and knows it, like he knows everything, but doesn't flaunt it. He prefers to flaunt his intelligence and commanding personality. And... his dick. That's one stereotype I'm happy to perpetuate.

For the second illustration in my series celebrating Black History Month, (yes, I think one can talk about gay porn in relation to black history!) I've decided to do a fan-art of perhaps the most prominent black character in the world of gay erotic art: Boo.

Belasco is a prolific artist with one of the most recognizable art styles known today. He's been working in the industry for as long time and it seems as though all connoisseurs of gay erotic art are at least familiar with his work. His book, The Brothers of New Essex, a collection of his erotic comic strips is literally in the home of every gay person I know. (I've also had it gifted to me... twice... after I already owned it!)

Specializing in black characters, Belasco has a stronghold on an overlooked market. Only a small number of artists in gay erotica include black characters. If it wasn't for Belasco, the black male would not have a voice in gay erotic art. This is important because the gay black male only barely has a voice in other forms of media. Belasco proudly renders black men with an authenticity unseen by anyone. He celebrates the beauty of a culture.

Oozing with raw sensuality, Boo, the subject of my piece, is Belasco's signature character. He's interesting because even though we know he's the hero-- this champion for sexual freedom; at the same time, there's something inherently mysterious about him. His eyes, one of the most expressive features on a person, are never revealed. I think this gives him an edginess that just makes him even more raw, masculine, and virile. So thanks to Belacso for giving us such sexy characters to drool over!

Black History Month: Bishop

I wanted to do something for Black History Month... yunno, but this is like... a gay art blog. I'm not gonna draw Thurgood Marshall naked. Even I have limits. So, I thought I'd concentrate on something in contemporary black history-- specifically black fictional characters. I think black fictional characters are relevant to mention in a discussion about black history. So let's talk about my dude, Bishop.

Bishop was introduced in the pages of X-Men in 1991, into a comic industry that really did not have many black male characters to speak of. Luke Cage and Black Panther were virtually unknown to comic goers at the time. X-Men was riding a wave of sudden popularity around the time Bishop first appeared and joined the team making him the most visible black male superhero in the 90's.

I'll assert here that Marvel has made a concentrated effort to de-emphasize the character in the past few years. Slowly but steadily, Bishop was written out of the books starting in the late 90's, early 2000's. He appeared here and there but was not as much of a regular recurring X-Men team member. The final nail in the coffin was Marvel's "Civil War" and "Messiah Complex" which essentially vilified the character.

Anyone who's followed the character's history knows that the story Marvel's created to turn him into a villain is specious. The only way they're able to get away with it is because comic readers today did not read X-Men in the early 90's. Also, Marvel's not worried about its responsibility to include positive black male characters because it's pushed Luke Cage and Black Panther to the forefront as of late.

Too bad for Bishop fans though. You'll have to just suck it up and accept that no one cares about one of the most culturally important characters of a generation. WELL, I still care about him! I care enough to draw him sexy and naked! Roll over the above image!

One thing that was slightly stressful about doing those greeting cards was that some of them had to be toned down. The insides could be raunchy, but the outsides had to be rated-G. As an artist who thrives on erotica, I kinda missed drawing cock and cum. >__<

So, I think I want to do an X-rated version of each of these that shows cock. Almost 20 years ago, when I first played Street Fighter, (woa-- I dunno what's freakier-- that SF is 20 years old or that I can say "20 years ago!") Zangief was perhaps the last character I picked to play with. Don't get me wrong-- the bulge was magnificent- and he had a great ass. But I think I was freaked out by the scars. Remember in the old games, his scars were bright red-- they looked like open sores. Grode.

Over the years, I've come to appreciate the awesomeness of the Geefster. So take a look at this quickie I whipped up. Roll over for the SHAVED version. Leave it to me to inspire tons of awesome talented artists to send me their porn drawings! HAHA-- just joking. Most of these aren't even porny-- but still great, each in it's own particular way. As you guys know, I adore seeing the Anti-Heroes rendered by other artists. So, without further ado, I'll present the collection I've amassed over the past few weeks.

These two below are by Anthony Gonzales, a great friend and amazing artist. The Power Suit Caleb one, I plan on getting a better scan of, eventually. And the Black and White one is for me to color eventually-- although I like how the inks look as is. BUY ANTHONY'S BOOK!

Next up is another by Jeremonkey. (You may remember, he did a cute drawing of the Anti-Heroes back in May.) This time, for my birthday, he gives us his version of one of his favorite scenes from issue #1. He's really captured both of their personalities here. Also love his coloring style. Looks like a lotta work!

This piece is by my good buddy Kitt Mouri. She sketched this one out while helping me run my booth at the Gay Erotic Expo a few months ago. Tai, I sometimes try to convey, can be a little elvish. Elves are something she specializes in. Good fit!

Here's a great one I actually got a while back and forgot to post! Yikes! But back when Charha drew it, Tower posted it on his blog. It's Tower's characters Ractus the rat, Lange the fox, Revedian the tiger, and Tower the wolf doing cosplay of Zeke, Locus, Camili-Cat, and Tai respectively. Locus and Cam are (of course) Class Comics characters. Whenever I look at this one, it makes me wanna get into furry.

Next up, here's Power Suit Caleb as drawn by Iceman. Recently I've connected with Iceman after being a fan for many years. We agreed to art trade-- I did MidnightMan and he did Caleb. Great action pose and lighting.

Here's a piece by a new friend I've made recently named Jezza. No website up for him just yet, although we're workin' on it! Jezza can draw pretty realistic, but I was floored when I saw hi more cartoony take on the Anti-Heroes. He's got a fresh, unique style. Can't wait to see more from him.

Lastly, I'd like to treat you all to a REALLY special treat. I've always been interested to know what the Anti-Heroes would look like as genuine bona fide action figures. So, I decided to commission Tobias Trost over at Imatoy.

I had been corresponding with him via email for a while and always knew in the back of my head that he's who I wanted to make my Anti-Heroes toys. He does really great work. Tobias said that these were some of his favorite pieces to create. Indeed they are unique because he's working in a larger scale and using more sculpting and painting and accessories than ever. It's all made for some really great models of my favorite hot hung horny hard-bodies. My favorite of the three is definitely Zeke. There was a lot of back and forth and experimentation with him, but he came out pretty amazing.

It's funny because I have these on my shelves with my Marvel Legends and Sota Street Fighter toys, and people ALWAYS double take when they see the Anti-Heroes amongst them. Like, "Woa! What X-Man is THAT supposed to be-- with the big bulge... oh wait... that's one of your characters!"

Thanks to everyone who sent me Anti-Heroes art. You don't know how much I truly appreciate it! There've been days lately where I've been feeling like this whole art thing isn't worth the effort, so when I get great gifts like these, not only does it make me feel good, it also validates my staying in the game. As long as someone out there likes it, I'm gonna keep on doin' it! THANKS! SMOOCHES!
